Whenever a project starring Superstar Rajinikanth gets announced it is no lesser than a festival marked in calendars not only to his fans worldwide but also to the common audience, film industry, distributors, theatre owners, and many more petty shop vendors who witness a super sale around the theatres. The same happened when A.R.Murugadoss bagged the lucky slot of directing the Thalaivar 168 and announced the stunning title of “Darbar” increasing the expectations of not only the film fraternity but also the political circle which the Superstar is slated to mark his official entry soon.

If Superstar is present then everything around him always remains magnificent. The super team of Darbar is assembled under the successful banner of Subaskaran’s Lyca productions. The heartthrob of youngsters Anirudh Ravichander who rocked the audience with his fabulous numbers in Superstar’s Petta is all set to score the music for Darbar. Santhosh Sivan is ready to present a visual feast as the cinematographer while Sreekar Prasad is to trim and shape the visual wonder as the editor. People’s favorite Nayantara is the female lead of the movie combining with Superstar once again after Chandramukhi and Kuselan while Nivetha Thomas is to call the Superstar as Dad playing the role of his daughter.

The shoot began in April of this year. Since then the fans always looked upon the social media accounts of the team Darbar for promos. The first look poster was released by ARM with the title Darbar increasing the expectations of all but what even more catchy was the tag line “You decide whether you want me to be good, bad or worse” revealing that Superstar is to play a role of super cop which he last played in 1992 flick Pandiyan but reminding of the cult role Alex Pandian of Moondru Mugam. And the backdrop gave a clue that the movie is based on the happenings in Mumbai.

The much-awaited motion poster with the Thalaiva themed fire-filled BGM was unfurled by the leading stars of film industries like Kamalahassan, Mohanlal, Salman Khan and Mahesh Babu in their respective languages. As soon as the poster is released the momentum is gained and started shaking all previous records. The fans went gaga over the trademark swag of the Superstar wearing a cop uniform with a long over-coat revealing the character name as Aaditya Arunasalam glittering in the nameplate and a sword in his hand slaying down the goondas. It is also a clue about how rocking is the role of Thalaivar is to be in the movie with full energy and mass. As usual, Anirudh made to feel the adrenaline rush thus proving to be the most happening composer and one of the lucky combos with Superstar.

The special features of the song are firstly the deadly combo of Superstar with SPB stunning voice and beats from Anirudh. The song featured the making of the song and Superstar monitoring the outcome of the song along with ARM and Vivek in the studio of Anirudh. The most surprising element is the ‘RA…JI…NI..’ themed lyrics which is going to be the viral social media status and ringtones. At the end is the real treat where Superstar himself is seen dubbing the tagline Chumma Kizhi in his own style and appreciates Anirudh predicting a confirmed theatrical celebration as “ Super…Aiyo…idhu theatre la kizhi dhaan’.
